I cannot wait to see all of you! I'm currently checking out train schedules for Friday, since I do have to work till 5 pm I unfortunately will not be there to dine with you per say. However I will be there for the evening, for the love, and for the giving! Oh, and I will bring something sweet.

This is my first normal weekend here in my new apartment. No rush to wake up early, no early morning painting, no trips to Canadian Tire, Ikea, or any store of the like to buy "missing pieces". This morning I slept in! I made coffee, sat down and had a proper breakfest. Now all I'm missing is a paper copy of the weekend Montreal Gazette... but let's not get to picky.

The apartment is looking good, most everything has been unpacked. There's a few paint touch-ups that need to be made and I definately need to get some decor up on the wall - for this I will need a drill.

A little update on life; I've been working an administrative job for an environmental consulting firm about 10-15 minute walking distance from my new place. It's a decent temporary set-up until I find a job more appropriate to my interests. And though much of my work is administrative, I've been learning quite a bit on "Going GREEN". The towels in the kitchen and washroom are made of hemp and we even have a compost container in our staff kitchen.

It's the 5th of July, and finally today I will begin unpacking from last weekends move. Why the long delay you ask? Well, my landlord had workers in for three days this week re-doing the kitchen floor and varnishing my hallway, so I pretty much had to stay clear of the place. In one word the status and smell of my new apartment has been quite toxic. This means I also spent all of one night there (before the work began). The outcome is great however and new wood pannel kitchen floor looks fantastic.

Now I am eager to get settled in especially since I have been living out of a suitcase and off my boyfriend and parents for the week.

Also you will probably be seeing more of me on here. Let's reunite.

Friends, can you believe it's been over a year since I have written on here? Insanity.
Big week ahead. Many boxes to pack, then unpack, painting, and cleaning. The regular business of another move. I'm sad to be leaving this place, but it has been nice living here and with the bonus of a great roommate.
Big day ahead. The apartment will no longer look the same.

montreal :: so far so good, real good.

this week is going by so fast! we've already had nathan over which was lots of fun. friends are welcomed, very welcomed. our apartment is coming together nicely as well. we haven't totally finished the set up, but soon - soon.

also of great importance; i got a job! and i job i'm really excited about. i'll be working in the family services department for a non-profit organization called welcome hall mission. i start on monday! check it out - http://www.mbawhm.com.

Tomorrow is moving day. Woah.
Originally I was to move on Thursday. However with a forecast of rain and thunderstorms for that day, we've moved it up to tomorrow.
In one way this turns out well since I now have an interview on Thursday which could not be booked any later.

It's strange. I am ready to move into my new place and at the same time I dont fell ready to leave here. Everything happened so fast. I havent had time to say bye to the people and places I love so much. But as people keep saying - it's not so far away. I want to visit alot this summer; while Ottawa is still fresh in my memory, while it's still a big part of my life, while you are still here.

Packing: Day 1

May 21st, 10 days away from June 1st. Perhaps even less till moving day.
My apartment hasn't been taken yet, but I still have a few more showings today.
Man I want this place off my hands.

Packing. I'd better start. This would entail boxes. I'd better work on that situation too.
At least for now I'll start organizing and putting some of the big stuff away.

I'm happy to be moving, though I would like a few other things to be settled as well.

If you havent done so already check out stephanie's xanga to see pictures of our new place in Montreal! Two weeks till move date, maybe not even. Y'all should come visit and help us pick out a suitable name for the place.

Also thanks to craigslists i've gotten 67898 replies to sublet my place for June and take over the lease in July. So far i've had 5 people visit with another 3 to go this evening. It's a bit strange having people poke around in the cupboards and such.

By the way, I'm going to miss you.
